Magz Magz
is a brand name under Progressive Trading Inc. The company was founded
by Steven Balanchi in 1994. Starting in the humble origins of his
garage, this toy manufacturing operation set in suburbia Glendale with
his son, George, as a shole employee and apprentice. As a family
business of father and son, family interaction was a well-understood and
encouraged value used as criteria in a worthy product. Although
Progressive Trading began with the introduction of several 3-D puzzles,
a construction type-toy was always the utmost desire of the company. In
2000, Magz Construction Toy was launched! It has since grown in dramatic
proportions and provided children and adults alike with hours of
imaginative and creative fun.Progressive Trading maintains the philosophy of stimulating educational values in children, mental growth, and the value of interaction. Several guiding principles help to shape a product: a toy that would enhance visualization, a toy that would induce a child to learn, and a product that would appeal to imaginations of all ages. They have won several awards such as iParenting Media Awards, Parents' Choice Awards, National Parenting Publications Awards, ASTRA Hot Pics Award, TOTY Nominee Award, and Oppenheim Gold Seal Awards. ASTRA is an organization that gathers information regarding the top selling toys of the year. Their members consist of owners of retail toy stores. ASTRA asks each member to ascertain the top selling toy for a certain year. TOTY is an abbreviation for Toy of the Year. The TOTY awards are distributed by the Toy Industry Association (TIA). These nominees are determined by retail stores who vote nationally, according to the total sales of a certain product. Magz have become very popular due to their range of possibilities. With just a plastic stick and a magnetic ball, you can build incredible sites and wondrous things such as spiders, towers, bridges, balls, triangles, squares, diamonds, and much more! As Magz got bigger and more popular, new sets and designs came out. These brand names include Skrooz, Webz, Magz-X, Magz, Super Magz, Magzphere, and X-Factor! They came out with styles that have all kinds of colors and even some that glow in the dark! |
